Dr. Yuhaniz Ahmad Yaziz is a Senior Consultant Periodontist with the Ministry of Health Malaysia and currently serves as the Head of Periodontal Services for the Kedah State Health Department. She received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Malaya in 1995.

In 2005, Dr. Yuhaniz completed her Master in Clinical Dentistry (Periodontology) with Distinction from University College London (UCL), United Kingdom, and was awarded the Certificate in Periodontology by the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP) in the same year.

With nearly three decades of clinical experience, Dr. Yuhaniz plays a key role in shaping and advancing periodontal care delivery within the public health sector. She is actively involved in national-level training and mentorship of dental professionals and is a strong advocate for evidence-based and patient-centered periodontal treatment.
She currently serves as the Immediate Past President of the Malaysian Society of Periodontology (2024–2026), having completed her term as President from 2022 to 2024.
